April is shaping up to be a meaningful month at Lakeshore Recreation — and we're inviting you to be part of it.
This month, our community has not one but two incredible opportunities to move with purpose, connect with others, and raise funds for causes that matter. Whether you prefer a Pilates mat or a walking trail, there's a place for you.
The April Walking Challenge In Support of Heart & Stroke
Looking for a way to give back all month long? The Heart & Stroke April Walking Challenge is exactly that.
Register, set your distance goal — 60, 90, or 120 kilometres — and walk throughout the month of April. Set up your personal fundraising page, share it with friends and family, and help fund life-saving heart disease and stroke research right here in Canada.
Every dollar raised supports breakthroughs that change — and save — lives.
Join the Lakeshore team here. Not up for the walking challenge? You can still make an impact. Donate to the Lakeshore team and cheer us on from the sidelines.
The Pilates Pop-Up: Prosecco Edition In Support of Huron Shores Hospice
On Saturday, April 25 at 10:30 AM, two members of the Lakeshore fitness team are bringing something special to our community.
Jen Dunbar of Dunbar Fitness and Lisa Oberbichler of Lisa Oberbichler Coaching — in partnership with Her Strength Studio — are hosting The Pilates Pop-Up: Prosecco Edition, right here at Lakeshore Recreation.
Led by Lisa, this 45–60 minute Pilates class is open to all levels — beginners absolutely welcome. After class, stay for a celebratory post-class social featuring prosecco, orange juice, and non-alcoholic options as we come together to support Huron Shores Hospice.
