Although originally from the area Karen taught overseas for over 10 years and worked at an International Medical Recruitment company in Toronto for 7 years. She has combined her teaching and business skills with her passion for physical fitness. She has a versatile approach to personal training which will help to ensure every program is effective and tailored to each individual’s specific requirements. Karen’s clientele includes beginners and athletes, people wanting to gain strength, rehab an injury or lose weight. She believes that making positive & realistic lifestyle changes will endure and improve quality of life. Karen promotes a balanced and sustainable lifestyle. She is passionate about helping others and remaining current in an industry that is constantly changing.

Jeff Virgo - Certified Personal Trainer, Indoor Group Cycle Certified, CFP PTS
Jeff Virgo served 5 years in the Canadian Armed forces with the Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry (PPCLI). While on duty Jeff suffered spinal cord injury (SCI) resulting in paralysis from the waist down. With extensive rehabilitation & hard work Jeff regain the ability to walk again. He has enjoyed many experiences post injury from being one of the Torch Barriers for the Parapan American Games in Toronto, completing in two Invictus Games (UK in 2014 and Orlando in 2016) for wounded warriors of allied nations, as well has raced in sprint kayak over the last 3 years. Jeff has also work with youth as Program Manager at multi sports camp in Quebec, from coaching soccer and being advocate for accessibility & being active. As a fitness instructor & personal trainer at Lakeshore Recreation his persistence, positive attitude and sense of humour have made him popular with other members. Jeff is very active with youth soccer in Saugeen Shores as a coach and member of the executive.

Brian has spent the last 7 years working in the fitness industry after years of travelling and working in the entertainment industry. He has worked as a Personal Trainer for various fitness clubs including most recently, a Coach at 'Fit Body Boot Camp' in Oakville. Brian also has experience developing and implementing children's fitness programs. His travels prior to joining the fitness industry included working with Celebrity Cruises out of Miami and playing In-Line Roller Hockey in the United States. Originally from the area, he has settled back in Saugeen Shores and has taken a position with Supreme Pharmaceuticals/7 Acres. His goal as a trainer/coach is to not only help people find the physical strength and fitness in themselves, but as well their mental strength and confidence.
Certified Personal Trainer & Fitness Instructor
Lauren received her diploma from Bryan College in their Health Fitness Trainer Program. She then went on to become a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sport Medicine and a Certified Group Fitness Instructor through the Athletics and Fitness Association of America. Although new to the industry as a fitness professional, her passion for athletics and fitness has been long-standing. She swam competitively on the Port Elgin Breakers Swim Team and ran for Ryerson University’s cross-country team. Whatever your fitness goal may be, Lauren wants to meet you where you are and help you implement sustainable incremental change so that you can reach your goals. Known for her positive energy and friendly nature, she believes that anything is possible.

Jen has been a Certified Personal Trainer with CanFit Pro since 2008. Since that time she has continued to add to her fitness education with: Certified Nutrition and Wellness, PiYO Certification, Group Fitness Instructor and Spin. She was a Wellness Consultant for EWSNetwork and helped businesses achieve national recognition for their wellness programs. Jen is currently working on her Human Movement Specialist Certification with the BrookBush Institute. Jen's passion for fitness stems from wanting to help her clients to have a life long journey with wellness. Her passion comes from changing people's view on what fit looks like. Jen's motto is "I'm not training to be skinny, I'm training for longevity."
